An OEM was planning to redesign the user interface system in its vehicles. Its previous system had become antiquated, and the OEM needed to get ahead of tech trends. The redesign included menus and information in the instrument panel and center displays, along with controls on the steering wheel and center console. The OEM needed to know if the updated system was intuitive, visually appealing, functional and easy to use.
Escalent launched a user experience (UX) research study to gauge the intuitiveness of the system and understand expected functionality. Our world-class UX experts tested the product in a static environment on several occasions throughout the development process to ensure recommended design updates were enhancing the product’s ease of use. The process was highly iterative, refining details along the way to ensure a great experience.
Our client fine-tuned their human machine interface system based on our recommendations. The system enhancements were approved and put into production, ultimately achieving an excellent owner experience, which was confirmed through buyer surveys.
