Ian joined Escalent in December 2019 when Javelin Strategy and Research became part of the Escalent family. Ian focuses on the ever-evolving needs of business owners to develop strategies for digital banking and payments. He takes a data-driven approach to analyze market trends in various areas, including bank switching, alternative lending, merchant services, bank-fintech partnerships, and digital tools ranging from alerts and notifications to cash-flow management. Leading banks, credit unions, and financial technology providers have tapped Ian’s strategic insights through advisory services, custom reports, and webinar presentations. Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English from the University of California, Davis, and a Master of Arts degree in International Policy from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, California.
